The tour is walking tour that will cover 3000 years of history. During the tour we will scroll into the picturesque alleys of Nahalat Shiva, we will touch on the story of the miraculous seven who founded the neighborhood. We will describe the process of the neighborhood's decline as well as its impressive restoration. Then we will continue to the Palace hotel (built by Husseini 1930), the most impressive YMCA center in the world and the best observation point (360) on Jerusalem, the Andalouse like neighborhood, the lions fountain and the first temple archeological site. Another interesting site st. Andrew chapel (and guest house). We'll finish the tour at the first train station (built 1892 ) now vibrant entertainment site.
The tour will cover those sites starting at your hotel or the advised meeting point walk to Nahalat Shiva walk to Palace hotel ( now Waldorf Astoria ) walk thru Machane Israel (second neighborhood out Jerusalem walls ) walk to Ymca (3 Arches center) walk to King david hotel walk to the Montefiori winery and Gozlan Garden , Yemin Moshe walk to Lions fountain walk to observation point of Katef Hinom see the excavations Finish for lunch or coffee at the first station The tour can be amended according to your interests.
