**Itinerary:** We will begin the day with a drive to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Here, we will view the Mount of Temptation, where Jesus was tempted by the devil (Luke 4:1-13, Matthew 4:1-11). We will also overlook the ancient city, renowned for the biblical story of the walls of Jericho (Joshua 6:1-27). Next, we will proceed to the Jordan River, the site of Jesus' baptism (Matthew 3:13-17), and then continue to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Afterward, enjoy a brief break to float in the Dead Sea before heading to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. We will visit the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2:1) before returning home.
Fantastic tour guide. He was funny, very easy to understand, easy to carry on a conversation with and well knowledgeable about all subjects that I asked. Also flexible and listen to what I wanted to do and was willing to change itineraries on the fly.
We were a group of 20 and booked Yousef via this website for a full day tour starting from Jerusalem covering Bethlehem, nearby areas of interest and travelling up to the Dead Sea and through the city of Jericho. From the moment we made this booking Yousef was very helpful with putting together an itinerary that worked well for us and his tour guide price was very reasonable as well. Yousef has a wealth of knowledge and advised us about each of the sites. We would highly recommend Yousef as a tour guide.
This private tour was the absolute highlight of our visit to Israel! Yousef knows all the stories from the Bible, historical events, traditions, current day living and politics, and is very easy going and sociable! He individualized the tour to our interests. It was fantastic and very comfortable! I and my teenagers learnt so much. I just regret I didn't book more tours with Yousef in Jerusalem - so worth the extra cost vs an ordinary group tour. HIGHLY recommend to learn from Yousef - we loved it!
We did several tours during our stay in Israel, but none covered as much as we did during our amazing West Bank day with Yousef. He has significant site/historical knowledge and an intimate familiarity with the workings of the sites. He was able to get us to the front of lines and into places at just the right time before they closed for services. We highly recommend Yousef's Bethlehem, Jericho, Dead Sea tour. This tour also includes the Jordan River baptism site and Qumeran.
