I am a qualified tour guide with over 12 years' experience in the tourism industry. I have been guiding for private walking tours for a number of years! I have a degree in European Studies and German from Ireland's most prestigious university, Trinity College Dublin and I am particularly interested in the history, politics, literature, art, and architecture of Dublin. For me a good tour guide should lay the groundwork for a positive and interesting experience of a city for visitors. I structure my tours in an informal way so that you get to see Dublin through local eyes: I'll give you a good introduction to the history and culture of Dublin, as well as give you restaurant and shopping tips. As a mum with three kids I'll also give you an insight into the life of a typical Dublin family! I hold the 'Dublin City and Environs' tour guide badge and I am listed on the Fáilte Ireland (the National Tourism Development Authority) Directory of Industry qualified guides. Your Dublin tour itinerary
-Our tour will start outside the famous Molly Malone statue. -From here, we will walk to Trinity College Dublin, Ireland's oldest and most famous university. -Next, we will visit Merrion Square in the heart of Georgian Dublin. -Then, we will reach St. Stephen's Green public park. -After this, we will walk by Grafton Street, Dublin's premier shopping street. -Just a few steps away, we will come across Powerscourt Town House, a beautiful 18th century town house which has been converted into an attractive shopping centre. -Next, we will pass by St. Patrick's Cathedral as well as Christ Church Cathedral. -We will then continue towards Dublin Castle. -Our last stop before going back to our starting point will be in Dublin's Temple Bar. -We will finish the tour at the Molly Malone Statue. This itinerary can be customized to best meet your preferences.
