My wife and I contacted Garvin R. and arranged for a customized full-day (8 hour) walking tour of Dublin. If we could give this tour more than five stars, we would! From start to finish, Garvan exceeded every expectation we had for our first visit to Dublin. Based on the tour description, we had high hopes going in, and Garvan delivered on every promise and then some. His knowledge is remarkable, and he shared a wealth of information about the sites we visited, Ireland’s rich history, its relationship with Britain, and the realities of modern Irish life. Every stop was engaging, informative, and thoughtfully presented. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was Garvan himself. He is personable, funny, kind, and genuinely passionate about ensuring his guests have the best possible experience. He has a natural ability to make you feel completely at ease. Within minutes, it felt less like we were touring with a guide and more like we were spending the day with an old friend. The tour was so enjoyable that we found ourselves lingering long after it officially ended, sharing a couple of pints at a local pub while continuing our conversation. Despite having already given us so much of his time, Garvan never made us feel rushed and was just as engaging and welcoming as he had been throughout the tour. He even recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner, which turned out to be another highlight of our trip. Garvan truly checked every box: knowledgeable, engaging, insightful, entertaining, and genuinely hospitable. If you're on the fence about booking this tour, consider this your sign to do it. Garvan was absolutely fantastic! Full of historical information and context on what we were seeing, as well as great conversation over coffee and chocolates, and later cheese, wine and dinner. We highly recommend booking a tour with Garvan! You will not be disappointed!

This was a perfect start to our Ireland vacation. We learned so much from Garvan about Ireland's history and got a good dose of Irish culture as well (visited a cheesemoinger and ended our day with a beer and whiskey pairing). Our adult children enjoyed as much as we did. We highly recommend.
