My family is from Northern Ireland and for a considerable period during the conflict known as "the troubles" we lived during these terrible times. I will share with you an insight into Northern Ireland's transformation: A war zone before 1998's Belfast Peace Agreement, to the city that is today. A beautiful, safe, vibrant, warm city, unique in so many ways. A remarkable achievement and evolution process was achieved. With an influx and major role played by the then US, Irish, and UK administrations, bringing all parties and sides to the table to create PEACE. I will tell you a detailed story of how Northern Ireland separated from the rest of the country in 1922 in a memorable way, not only by stating specific events but by explaining how this has affected people on both sides of the island of Ireland.
Please Note: Travelers do not require a passport or Visa to enter into Northern Ireland. Departing Dublin we cruise to Belfast City, you'll experience how warm & welcoming the city is. I will also, give you a very clear picture of how life in Northern Ireland was very different before the peace agreement of 1998. Visiting: - Newry Town (borders the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland) - Sites of major conflict - Falls road murals - Belfast City Hall - Titanic Memorial - River Lagan - We'll visit the salmon of knowledge sculpture and view the Harland and Wolff shipyard cranes, where the Titanic was built. - Lunch, a visit to the Crown Pub, or a place of your choice. - Cathedral quarter - we'll walk through the cobblestone streets - Linen quarter - Belfast was the greatest linen producer in the world in the 1800s! - Europa Hotel (the most bombed hotel in the world. This tour can be customized to your requirements. All tours are flexible.
