Highlights of Ireland Tour - 7-day tour

We had such a wonderful time touring the best parts of Ireland with Don. He’s a great driver, van is very comfortable and he is thoughtful about restroom stops! Don will tailor you tour to the things you like to see and do - Ireland is a beautiful country - explore and enjoy!

We spent five days with Don doing a loop of the southern half of Ireland. We started in Dublin to Kilkenny, Cobh, Kinsale, Killarney, Dingle, Doolin, Galway, and finally back to Dublin. These were the five best days of our vacation. If we could, we would give Don 10 stars, he was that amazing! He showed us beautiful scenery, villages, cathedrals, and historic sites. His attention to detail was second to none. Once he found out one of our members was a bridge builder, he went out of his way to show us several unique historic bridges. I had wanted to see Drombeg Stone Circle which he did, then he added Kenmare as an extra surprise! Don was very knowledgeable and informative. We had many great conversations and a lot of laughs during our five days, especially at the expense of one of our members! I highly recommend Don to anyone planning a vacation to Ireland. Absolutely amazing trip with Don! This was the first time I attempted a multi day trip with a guide and it exceeded my expectations by far ! Don was incredibly knowledgeable about Irelands history , people, scenery , and current affairs. He was extremely accommodating and tailored the tour to exactly what I wanted . He gave me free time to shop when asked , recommended wonderful accommodations , food, and local goods, and was all around a pleasure to spend a few days with! Absolutely recommend!

Our three-days in Ireland with our wonderful driver, Don, was filled with beautiful scenery, history and fun. Don took us from Dublin touring County Wicklow, Powerscourt House & Gardens and a scenic mountain drive on day 1. Day two was on to Kilkenny and the Rock of Cashel and the most scenic drive on a portion of the Ring of Kerry to end up in Killarney for a night. On day 3, we continued on to Adare Village, the midlands and a quick visit to the Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens. We packed a lot into 3-days and Don made it the best trip. Don is a good, safe driver; knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. We highly recommend Don and Tours by Locals.

He was amazing, courteous, professional and punctual. His knowledge, his passion, his kindness and his listening skills were so appreciated by all of us. He was also in tune to our needs and went out of his way to please us everyday. I think we traveled about a thousand miles across the country of Ireland to every site that we requested to see AND to many that we had not known about. He went out of his way to keep us together ( not an easy task) a very good driver and always tried to keep us safe.

Don made our trip stress free. He has a great personality for a guide, funny, calm, punctual, knowledgeable. We learned a lot more and saw a lot more than we would have had we tried to rent a car ourselves or patched together day trips. Having him with us made our experience more immersive into Irish culture. Our kids said "Don was never late and he was really interesting." The only bad part of our trip was having to say goodbye to Don on the last day.
