Hi, my name is Donncha and I would be delighted to be your private driver/guide on your trip to Ireland. Based in County Laois in the midlands of Ireland, I am well located to cover many parts of Ireland. My tours will take you through my own county of Laois, my neighbouring County Kilkenny, County Carlow, County Tipperary and all along the west coast of Ireland - Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway & Mayo. I offer day trips from Dublin to the likes of Wicklow, Kilkenny and Kildare. Tours of the midlands cover Laois, Offaly and Westmeath while in 'the sunny south-east' I can take you to Wexford and Waterford. I have been operating as a driver/guide for over 10 years. I am a qualified guide, approved by Failte Ireland, our national tourism agency. Your transport will be a Mercedes V-Class with leather seats and air-conditioning. I am passionate about my country, its history and its people and am proud to have been able to demonstrate its beauty and culture to so many people in the past. Always flexible, I am able to take you 'off the beaten track' to show some of the hidden gems of Ireland or any areas and places that might be of special interest to you. Overview of your Dublin tour
This tour will take you to some of the most beautiful parts of Ireland - from the historic and vibrant capital city of Dublin, through scenic County Wicklow and along the rugged and dramatic west coast - The Wild Atlantic Way. Overnight in Kilkenny (1 night), Killarney (3 nights), Galway (2 nights) and return to Dublin. I will show you some of my favorite parts of Ireland, places steeped in history from the ancient times of our first settlers to more recent events of our independence and the foundation of our state. My passion for Ireland and my experience of guiding travelers will allow me to take you 'off the beaten track' and experience much of the heritage and culture of our beautiful country. Day 1: Dublin to Kilkenny through County Wicklow. Visit Powerscourt House & Gardens and Glendalough Monastic Site, followed by a scenic drive to Kilkenny. Overnight Kilkenny. Day 2: Kilkenny to Killarney. Via The Rock of Cashel. Arrive early afternoon to enjoy some of the sights around Killarney incl. Muckross House and Ross Castle. Overnight Killarney. Day 3: Tour The Ring of Kerry. Travel along the beautiful Kerry coastline known all over the world. Overnight Killarney. Day 4: Tour Dingle and The Slea Head Drive. Overnight Killarney. Day 5: Killarney to Galway. Via County Clare including The Cliffs of Moher & The Burren. Overnight Galway City. Day 6: Tour Connamara and the coastal region of County Galway, the villages of Roundstone, Clifden and Cong. Overnight Galway City. Day 7: Galway to Dublin.
