Congratulations on finding the profile of one of Ireland’s highest-ranking tour guides! My name is Adam, and for over a decade, I've had the privilege of guiding guests through the beautiful Emerald Isle. Having toured over 80,000 people to Ireland’s most iconic destinations, I can assure you that you're in safe hands when you book a tour with me. I was born in Dublin and raised in the scenic county of Laois, where my passion for Irish history and culture began. This curiosity led me to travel across Europe, and beyond, to places like Turkey, Vietnam, and the United States. It was this love of learning and discovery that ultimately steered me toward a career in tour guiding. While many of my friends pursued more traditional paths, I chose to follow my heart and immerse myself in the study of history. That decision led me to tour guiding, where I discovered my true calling. Over the years, I’ve guided tours at some of Ireland’s most prestigious sites, including Kilmainham Gaol and the National History Museum. Tour guiding is more than a job to me - it's a passion. Spend just a few minutes with me, and you’ll quickly see how much I love sharing the rich history and culture of Ireland with others. I’m eager to offer you an authentic Irish experience, tailored to your interests and needs. Since joining ToursByLocals in 2019, I’ve had the pleasure of helping guests from around the world experience Ireland in a unique and personal way. Whether you're interested in history, culture, or scenic beauty, I’ll ensure you have a memorable time. Here’s a quick snapshot of my credentials: • Master’s Degree in History & Media (UCD) • Bachelor’s Degree in History & Politics (UCD) • Fáilte Ireland Certified National Tour Guide. • Lecturer of National Tourism Award. • “Travellers’ Choice Award” from TripAdvisor (2021-2025) • Over a decade of experience guiding in Ireland. I’m happy to accommodate your schedule, interests, and any special requests you may have. Please don’t hesitate to contact me - I look forward to helping you experience the best of Dublin and beyond. Céad Míle Fáilte (one hundred thousand welcomes), Adam

Dublin’s history is unlike any other, shaped by invasions, rebellions, and revolutions. Join me as we stroll through the city’s charming streets and discover how a small Viking settlement grew into a vibrant, cosmopolitan capital. On this tour, we’ll explore Dublin’s role in the complex relationship between Ireland and Britain. We’ll dive into the rebellions, political struggles, and the lasting impact of British rule. By visiting both the North and South sides of the city, we’ll uncover the contrasting sides of Dublin—'Irish Dublin' and 'British Dublin.' As we walk, we’ll also explore Dublin’s rich cultural legacy, from literary giants like James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, and Oscar Wilde, to iconic musicians like Thin Lizzy and U2. And of course, no tour of Dublin would be complete without a conversation about its famous pub culture. We’ll take a break to sip on a pint of Guinness or an Irish whiskey—after all, it’s all part of the experience!

It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with this incredible man! So smart...so interesting...so engaging...an amazing man and an amazing city! Adam knows this city...the only complaint we had was wishing we could record the whole thing so we could remember every detail he shared. We would come back and see him again :-) BIG FANS!
Gerat guide with a fantastic personality and service attitude. Went along with my wife and and i and also with our children 22, 24 and 25. Nice stories and very approachable. He indeed knows Dublin!!!
Adam was great. We are very well-traveled, frequent ToursByLocals users and like to immediately start our adventure in a new city with a tour to get ourselves familiarized. Adam was excellent at communication prior to our tour, helping to customize our time according to our preferences. Our time with him was well-balanced, with frequent focus on modern history including history of LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities as we had requested. His explanations were clear, well-presented, and never stodgy. Exactly what we had wanted. 5-stars! Thanks.
Adam is the best we’ve had many tours by many people, but not as informative as what we have had with Adam. He was a perfect delight and actually spent more time with us. And was allotted he was delightful and brilliant.
Adam was a fantastic guide. Met us at our hotel to start and guided through interesting history and culture of Dublin. We appreciated his ability to contextualize the places and sights we were spending time at and passing by. I particularly appreciated that Adam was able to adjust our tour as we walked including the addition of St. Patrick's, subtraction of Christchurch, and inclusion of Oscar Wilde at towards the end of our time together. Adam engaged with all 7 members of our tour and accommodated our variable walking speeds to make sure no one was missing out. I would take every tour Adam offers if possible.
