My name is Michael, I was born in Rhodes Island by Greek parents who were born in the picturesque village of Platania. Since 2009 I involve into tourism. The main reason is to be part of the unconditional Greek hospitality which is famous around the world. This is a felling every guest must feel while their staying. Rhodes Island, as a crossroad between East and West, combines the existence of different cultures and sightseeing untouchable by the time, as History is stronger than time. The beauty of nature, the harmony of Greek blue, the small village squares, all set up for the same reason: to make you feel like home. I am a professional tour-driver who loves sharing time with guests in a tour, my 16 years of experience in private tours make me feel very proud. I would like to mention that I am unable to follow my guests in archaeological sites, as I am not an official licence tour guide. Our day in Rhodes with Michael was amazing!! It was the perfect blend of seeing the city sights and then the afternoon at the beach club and swimming in the sea could not have been more relaxing. Michael was an outstanding tour guide with a wealth of local knowledge. He was very personable, friendly and accommodating and ensured that our party of four got a great taste of Rhodes (the first time any of us visited that island). At our request, he took us to local gold, ceramic and leather shops and also brought us to a delightful seaside restaurant where we enjoyed lunch and a swim. Well worth the time and money!
Michael was an exceptional driver and tour guide. His love for Rhodes is very evident. He was very punctual and very flexible in his day. What I loved about his tour, is that his tours are very unique. I highly recommend a private driver is the only way to do a tour and have it very authentic. We went to the 130 year old authentic house and the experience was incredible. The pottery workshop had so many wonderful pieces to choose from. He was one of best tours for our entire vacation!
We booked a last minute tour with Michael in Rhodes. Michael is a professional guide in every way. From his pre-tour communication to his prompt arrival, I knew that we were in good hands! Absolutely the best day in Rhodes with Michael! He was very flexible and catered the tour to our wishes and then offered suggestions of an incredible artist workshop and gallery, an authentic Rhodes private home, and a wonderful water view restaurant for lunch! Michael kept us on time throughout the day and provided history with a local flare. Awesome service and truly a nice guy! Our day with Michael was definitely a highlight of our trip!
Fantastic tour! We got a great sense of the island, saw some hidden gems, and spend some relaxing time at the beach! Michael was knowledgeable and hospitable, would highly recommend!
- Our trip will be start with a brief drive by the Medieval Walls. -Our first stop will be the place where Colossus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, once stood. - The panoramic view of the City. - The Ancient Stadium - The Acropolis of Rhodes will the next stop. - Next stop will be the Jewerly Factory with the famous Byzantine Museum. - Our next stop will be a 130 years old local traditional house. - Then we will visit the local traditional Pottery workshop where Rhodian Art meets History and Mythology. - Our next stop will be in Faliraki at the famous beach bar Tulum. In which I will have already made a reservation for umbrellas and beach beds. Then you will enjoy the cocktails at the beach and the warm, clean and blue water. ( about 2 hours ) This itinerary can be customized according to your expectations and requirements.
