Rhodes Combo Tour

Mike was such a knowledgeable guide, and he made the tour feel so personal right from the start by showing us where he grew up on the island. The transportation was comfortable the whole way, and it seemed like Mike knew literally everyone we passed! It really gave the day a local, welcoming feel. What made this tour stand out was how customized it was. Mike gave us options along the way and let us choose what we wanted to do. We opted for the wine tasting, which was amazing, and even more special because we got to meet the actual namesake of the vineyard. Such a cool, unexpected touch. He also took us to see one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which was incredible to experience in person. For lunch, Mike had the best spot on the beach lined up, with a great party atmosphere and plenty of time to relax and take pictures. One of the highlights of the day was a niche spot overlooking Anthony Quinn Bay, where we got some truly one of a kind photos. Overall, this tour felt so personal and well thought out. If you want a guide who treats you like a friend and shows you the island through local eyes, I'd highly recommend Mike!

I contacted guides at tours by local to see if anyone could arrange a special, private cooking class for me. There were seven of us who wanted to go to a grandma, a Greek Grandma's home and learn to cook with her all the different dishes from Greek cuisine. That would be fun to make. We went there, and had the time of our lives. We made three appetizers, a main dish, and had dessert. We made it all in their outdoor kitchen and watched them use a Wood-Fired oven to cook everything. We then got to eat at their outside dining room with the view of the city below us. What could be a more wonderful time in Greece! You talking about Texas?

Mike is a great guide. We did this tour as a shore excursion. Our cruise ship stayed overnight in Rhodes, and we had done a walking tour of the Medieval walled city on our first day. We wanted to see more of the island on our second day, and Mike's tour was perfect for that. Kallithea Springs is lovely and interesting. At Anthony Quinn's Bay, we got cold drinks in a cliff-top bar and spent time admiring the beautiful cove. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and some good wines at Anastasia's Winery (for a reasonable extra cost). At the Valley of Butterflies, Mike dropped us off at the top of the trail and picked us up at the bottom. That trail was longer than we realized. It has hundreds of steps, but there's a good railing all the way down, so we made it OK despite our advanced age and gimpy knees. I highly recommend this tour.
