Rhodes Local Experiences Tour

Savvas made our day in Rhodes super special! From the moment he picked us up he treated us like first class! He had warm pastries waiting and when I said I could use a coffee he stopped and took care of it. We went against the traffic and off the beaten path of the island. He took us all over and we saw some breathtaking views! Savvas made us feel comfortable and like a friend. The lunch he arranged was by far one of the most memorable lunches ever! He took care of everything, the location was gorgeous and like something out of a movie, and not to mention the food was authentic and delicious! Savvas left us with a sweet gift that had some homemade treats. He was truly a class act and made our day in Rhodes so unforgettable!

My husband and I were fortunate to have found this tour by Savvas! If you want an absolutely relaxed, authentic, fun experience on the West side of Rhodes this is the tour! We loved every minute of the day and felt we had made a lifelong friend at the end of the day. Savvas is very passionate about Rhodes and his attention to detail is incredible. He gave us a lovely gift box of local products, offered us amazing snacks while on the road , took us to two wine tastings at small, family run businesses and then we had a feast for lunch. Savvas is an incredible storyteller and we shared many laughs and interesting stories throughout the day. Savvas’s smile is genuine and everywhere we went people seemed to know him! We loved the intimate wine tastings! Sooo much fun. If you truly want to experience authentic Rhodes… book this tour! It was an experience we shall remember fondly:)

Savvas has curated his own unique tour that takes you away from the crowds and offers a little break from the history of Greece. He is a very thoughtful and knowledgeable guide, offering snacks and gifts that correspond to the nature of the tour. We had a fabulous lunch, high in the mountains, overlooking the northwest coast of Rhodes. It was a thoroughly pleasant look at a side of Rhodes that most visitors probably do not see.

If you want a great taste of Rhodes, both literally and figuratively, this tour with Savvas is definitely the one to take! My wife and I enjoyed a sampling of wines and various local foods in several marvelous small mountain villages. We also got to see the ruins of ancient Kamiros. Each small wine tasting and lunch location were all small family run establishments catering primarily to locals and not tourists, but the proprietors were inviting and made us feel like locals. What made the tour so outstanding, however, was Savvas himself. He is outgoing and exuberant and at the same time warm and engaging. He is full of stories and chatting with him will make you feel like you are with an old friend. We will always remember Savvas and our absolutely wonderful “local experience”.

Our family's full day with Savvas and his excellent driver were very relaxing and interesting. While our knowledge of Rhodes was minimal, our experience with Savvas made Rhodes one of our most memorable ports. At a winery and and a taverna, we sampled wonderful local wines (even took back two bottles) and savory local products. Savvas even sent us home with a generous sampling of those local products. We had an amazing MANY course Greek lunch at a delightful local restaurant. Highly recommended!
