Ever since I was a little girl next to my father who was also a guide, I was trying to explore and find out more of my country's history, traditions, language and natural beauties. On this half day guided tour we'll drive to the New Town of Rhodes, and visit the Old harbour, a place where legend says that one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world was located. A panoramic drive will bring you to the Acropolis of Rhodes (which means you won't have to climb to it!). You'll experience the beauty of the Temple of the God Apollo, along with an ancient greek stadium. We will venture inside the medieval City of the Knights, entering it from a famous historical gate called the Gate of D 'Amboise . We continue our visit with a tour of the Palace of the Grand Masters and appreciate the beauty of the lovely mosaics there exhibited. We'll also pass through the Street of the Knights of Saint John, and other lovely paths. Coming out of the Medieval City, we'll depart from the Marine Gate and drive towards the colourful, traditional village of Koskinou, where beautiful neoclassical houses will impress you. Here, a renowned lady will teach you how to prepare a greek delicacy called "melekouni".
We had an unforgettable day on Rhodes thanks to our amazing guide, Maria. She welcomed us into her village, where we experienced authentic local life and a heartwarming cooking demonstration—such a treat! Her stories brought the island’s history to life, and the beach time at Lidos was the perfect way to unwind. Maria’s warmth, knowledge, and personal touch made this tour truly recommended.
Excellent guide, thoughtful, kind, considerate, and was absolutely wonderful with our 14-year-old grandson. So patient and showed us a wonderful beautiful day and Road incredibly knowledgeable and she arranged for a wonderful driver with a vehicle that was so very comfortable, with designer interior and wonderful Seating inside. All in all just a wonderful day with an incredibly talented guide.
My husband and I have traveled around the world and have never found a guide quite like Maria. She is a true super star! She is extremely knowledgable ,organized but flexible, thoughtful, fun and a great driver. She went out of her way to create an exceptional , unique experience for us. Our two full days with her were nothing less than magical. We are going to miss her when we leave Rhodes. She is truly the best of the best.!!

Both Maria and the driver she chose did a wonderful job. Her information was interesting and led our interest along through time and place across history. As a foodie, the opportunity for making the local confection was a high-point of the day. When we come back to Rhodes (and we will), we know who to contact.
Maria was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend her, and would choose her again. The highlight of the tour was being able to visit the local village lady who made a dessert/ powerbar for us, and learning all about the local customs. It really made the tour special. Maria was very accommodating with our specific requests.
-We will first gather at our arranged meeting location. -Then, we will go on a panoramic tour of the town of Rhodes. -Next, we will visit the Mandraki harbour. -After the completion of the visit, we will head towards the Acropolis of Rhodes. -Following the completion of the aforementioned activities, we will begin the walking part of the tour where will enter the medieval city passing the gate of D Amboise, the Palace of the Grandmasters and the Road of the Knights. -The driver will pick us up from the Marine Gate and will drive us to the village of Koskinou, where you'll walk through colourful paths and houses. -In the heart of the village, a lady will open her house and kitchen to teach you the preparation of this delicacy. With all the sweetness in your mouth, we end our tour at the place where we commenced it. This itinerary can be customized to best fit your specific needs.
