I was born in Normandy, France, where I also studied. After graduating in 1981, I served in the French Army (Gendarmerie). We spent the morning at Pere Lachaise Cemetery and the afternoon in the Montmartre district with Patrice. He is very knowledgeable about both areas and was interesting and fun to be with. At Pere Lachaise he covered the history of the cemetery, took us to all the famous graves and told us the stories behind many others. Having a guide there is a must and Patrice did a great job. At Montmartre, he covered the interesting history of the area as well as how people live there today. We highly recommend Patrice as a guide in Paris.

Patrice knows Paris inside and out. He arranged a private car for us due to mobility issues and then proceeded to show us the highlights as well as some not so frequently visited jewels. It was a great way for our friends to see Paris for the first time as well as a refresher for us. And the highlight was a late lunch at an intimate local restaurant at the base of Montmartre. Funny and personable, he made Paris come alive. I highly recommend him as well as this tour. You won't be disappointed.

Departure from your hotel around 10:00 am. Then we will use the subway and walk (A LOT), the best way to discover this wonderful city. I won't rush you, I will make sure you have plenty of time. Visit the French capital's legendary landmarks and explore the architecture of the city as you travel along the beautiful banks of the Seine River to the iconic Eiffel Tower (not going on it), the Louvre (not inside), Notre Dame Cathedral (not inside), Montmartre, Arc de Triumph and others. Then at the end of the day, I will take you to your hotel or help you to find a great place to go out. This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly!
