Hi there! My name is Sunday -funny name I know! :) - a licensed Tour Guide in France, as well as an Art Advisor for art collectors. Originally from Australia, I fell in love with Paris growing up and have lived in the City of Lights for over 10 years. At the same time, I love it for other reasons; its pastries, cakes, macaroons, its wine, its tasty treats and its design! As a native English speaker my clients find it easy to understand and communicate with me. I work as a Private Tour Guide for individuals, families and small groups, as well as for exclusive guiding companies, from whom I have received many 5 star reviews. Guiding is a passion for me; I adore meeting new people and sharing the love of my adoptive city, its art, its monuments, its style, and its history. ABOUT MY TOURS: As an Art Historian/advisor and Licensed Guide, I'd be happy to guide you through the Louvre, to catch a glimpse of Mona Lisa's smile, to see the beauty in Monet's Water Lily's at the Musee d'Orsay, and to marvel at the wonder of the Eiffel Tower and the architecture of Notre Dame. Let's explore Paris through the best croissant in the city and coffee on a terrace, and lets sample some delicious cheeses next, pairing them with a tasty glass of Burgundy to boot! We could then wander through the design districts and look at where the top designers go to source their pieces. All my essential tours are listed, however should you be after something more unique, I am more than happy to tailor something to your wants and needs; let's discuss. I can adjust tour duration, starting time and meeting point, transportation or anything you want so as to ensure you have the best experience here in Paris! BA in Creative Arts as well as an MA in Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne, Australia, specializing in late 19th and 20th Century Art. Work experience as an assistant curator in Australia, as well as at several reputable commercial art galleries and with many high-profile interior designers. Currently working as a private art and design advisor to international art collectors, and as a Licensed Guide in France. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Join me whilst we explore the home of the largest collection of Impressionist artworks in the world. This tour will offer insights into the creative explosion that took place in Paris in the 19th Century, giving social context to the artistic and cultural movements that arose during this time. We will explore the theme of the art controversy through the contrasting of Academic Painting, with styles that developed during the 19th Century such as Impressionism, Fauvism, Pointillism and Neo-Impressionism. As we explore the museum, I will explain the contributing factors to the outburst of creativity that would occur during this time, and how this led to an explosion within the art world. We will examine the works of art visionaries such as Realist painter Manet; explore the beginnings and continuations of Impressionism with Monet and his friends Renoir, Degas, Caillebotte and more; and finish up with an array of colours from the Pointillism and Post-Impressionists such as Seurat and Van Gogh.
-Having met by the elephant statue in front of the museum, we'll beging our tour with an introduction to art and social movements in the 19th century, as well as of the history of the museum itself. -We will then continue the tour by observing art pieces of pre-Impressionists, such as Millet, Courbet, Manet, Carpeaux, as well as Academic-style art. -Moving up to level 5, we will discuss works by the Impressionists and affiliated artists, such as Monet, Renoir, Degas, Sisley, and Cézanne. -To finish the tour we will marvel at the works of the Post-Impressionists such as Seurat, Signac, Cross and Van Gogh. *Please note this is an example of what we will see, subject to change according to gallery openings. -After we're finished, I'd be happy to give you indications for the best way to return to your place of accomodation. This tour could be customized to best meet your specific preferences.
