Bonjour, my name is Michael and I'm a fun university English professor who fell in love with Paris. I've been in France for 12 years. When I first arrived from my native Jamaica, France was a culture shock. It's true it can be hard sometimes to navigate and waiters can be rude and it took me a while to understand the codes, but now I consider myself 100% French and would love to share my experience with you as we explore this beautiful city together. Not only do I want to take you to the famous sights and help you take the best possible photos, but I will also take you to lesser-known neighborhoods with beautiful markets, bakeries, and cheese shops. I'll share my favorite addresses with you as well: crêpes, macaroons, and everything sweet the city has to offer! I will guide you through the most essential historical and architectural sights, so you get some context, but without this being a boring class. Expect my tours to be fun, dynamic, and interactive. Thanks to our experienced driver, you will be able to sit back and relax in a brand new air-conditionned Mercedes mini van (or similar), which can seat 6 guests. I will tell you the most important background info and fun facts about each of the sights we stop at, and you'll be free to simply enjoy the beautiful monuments of Paris and take wonderful pictures. This is the ideal tour for people spending a short time in Paris and who want to cover as much ground as possible in just 4 hours. Starting with a beautiful view of the whole city of Paris from the top of Montmarte (which comprises the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the artist village) and making our way across the city to all the major monuments as well as some charming neighbourhoods and markets.
