Bonjour and Welcome to Paris! My name is Pierre-yves. Originally from central France and with numerous stints abroad, I am at heart a Parisian and have called Paris home for over 20 years. Along with art and history, I am also immensely passionate for craft food and natural wine, especially when it comes to sharing them in my favorite, local spots. I'm always scouting for the best markets, bistros, cafes, bakeries, cheese, wine, and coffee shops. Discover the heart of Paris in one day by foot as we stroll the highlights on both the Right & Left banks. We can start at your lodging directly or a central point of your choosing in the city center. The concept of this day is to give you a general orientation of Paris and cover the most famous monuments & sites from the outside. Paris is a city meant to be experienced by strolling and I will lead you on the most charming routes. When necessary we will hop on and off the Metro or Bus (to which I can assist you in purchasing passes if you have not yet). Together we will wind through the covered passages & hidden gardens by the Louvre, wander the narrow trendy cobblestones of the Marais, admire Notre Dame & Sainte-Chapelle on the Ile-de-la-Cité, visit the ancient monuments in the Latin Quarter, meander through cathedrals containing stunning artwork & finally rest our feet when needed in the loveliest, leafy squares of Paris.
We enjoyed our time with Pierre. We were in Paris for 9 hours and he made sure we saw all the highlights and made the most efficient use of our time. From the top sites to see to the delicious food we wanted to try. It was a great introduction to the city!
Pierre-yves was a fabulous tour guide! We had his guide us for two days and we saw everything we wanted at our own pace. Having a guide takes the stress out of traveling in a foreign country. He told us how to get from the airport to Paris. Picked us up right at the train station, helped us get our baggage to our hotel, took us all around Paris, then recommended restaurants and got us right back to our hotel at night. I wouldn’t do the city any other way if you’re short on time here. He was helpful, knowledgeable, flexible and great company. We will be booking him again on our next trip!
