Dear guest, I am a friendly licensed guide offering tours in and around Paris. Originally from the countryside region of Burgundy (Make wine, not war!!!), I arrived in Paris 16 years ago. I first fell in love with the city… and then fell in love with a Parisian in a grey suit… and together we made… two little Parisians! Whether it is your first or tenth visit, the possibilities are endless. Monuments, museums, walking tours or a mix of all these. . . I can also arrange private transportation on request. I can start early and/or finish late. Feeling lost? I will guide you through the various options or tailor a tour from scratch based on your special interests. Guiding is not only about history. I like to give local colour to my tours, sharing the little details that make Paris so special, sharing food too, taking you to the hidden bistrot around the corner for an express French immersion!!! … à bientôt ! PS: What you want to see is not included in my list of tours (Marmottan museum, Orangerie, Opera House, Rodin Museum, etc…)? Please send me an email and I will arrange a tour. Licensed Guide - License n° 1475 142P Master's Degree in English Literature Technical Translation Degree I have my driving license but I am not a driver guide, I can arrange a driver for you if you would like a city tour or day excursion!

Let's start at Orangerie Museum and enjoy the quiet of Monet's "grandes décorations" as he called them. Started before the war, offered to France after WW 1 by "Papa Monet", those giant paintings are history and they have a story. They came back into the light in the 1950' thanks to an American art critic! Connecting this masterpiece with the era, I would love to take you on a stroll in the elegant 16th district. While 74-year-old Monet was relentlessly working on his waterlilies, a stylish war was taking place on the façades of Parisian buildings: Art Nouveau vs Art Deco... or would modernism be the winner in the end? Often overlooked, this district offers great examples of architectural styles of the late 19th century, surprisingly quaint market streets and a bucolic writer's house to visit on the way! For contrast, we will walk from the Orangerie to Petit and Grand Palais, the more monumental side of Paris, and then take the bus to reach the 16th arrondissement, thus circling around the Eiffel Tower!
- Orangerie Museum (Waterlilies section) - Walk through Place de la Concorde, to Petit and Grand Palais - view from Alexander 3rd bridge - bus ride to Trocadero and rue Raynouard - stroll to Balzac's house and rue de l'Annonciation - end at market street rue de l'annonciation
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
