Hello world! I am Nikki, a Chinese-French girl grew up in an international environment and now living in Paris. I will be more than happy welcoming you in my beloved Paris! While always working in Finance and travelling around the world for my job and my own thirst of discovery , I followed classes of art history, I was also a freelance contributor to lifestyle media's and co-created a booking agency to promote French electronic musicians in Asia. These various experiences lead me to the most privileged happenings in the City of Light and nurtured my strong desire to share my secret find of Paris and exchange with rest of the world. I lived in all the hippest neighborhood in Paris, le Marais, Canal st martin, Parc Monceau and Belleville, with the time I accumulated good knowledge and network of artists, galleries, designers, food shops, concept stores, cocktail bars and other off-the-beaten-track address. I love Paris as a local but also as a tourist, I have a strong passion to find the best-kept-secret and share my personal addresses to the ones who are curious to discover the hidden gems and sensitive to culture and human contacts. The magical thing with Le Marais is that even if it is the most touristic district of Paris, it is also at the same time the most original. As a former freelance columnist, I was lucky enough to meet many authentic food craftsmen full of talent and soul & who settled down in Le Marais, some in the 17th century, and others just a few months ago. This mouth-watering journey will have you meet the skillful hands and masterminds behind several delightful creations such as a famous bread considered as a national treasure since the 1930s. The world-renowned macarons with foie gras and caviar flavor, some grand-cru chocolate made by the Best Craftsman in France, the celebrated yet unpronounceable kouign-amann or even some exquisite French desserts with Syrian roots. You'll also learn some history and anecdotes along about the Marais and why this charming district has been attracting all kinds of people for centuries, from aristocracy, to artists, intellectuals, businessmen, tourists & of course Parisians!
Nikki is smart, knowledgeable and so fun to be around. She taught us SO much about pastry and Marais. You might think this is a croissant and pain au chocolat tour, but it's NOT! We could not believe the beautiful pastries that, until this tour, we had just passed by. We had so much fun. I highly recommend!

Nikki took us through Le Marais for a delicious food tour! We were a large group that included some kids (10 - 15 years) and she kept the tour engaging for everyone. We enjoyed trying delicious pastries and delicacies and learning more about the neighborhood. Highly recommend!
This was a fabulous begining of our Paris weekend. We enjoyed learning about the back story of each baker at the various pastry shops we went to and sampling the treats. Everyone gets their own sample at each location. Nikki also told us about the history of the Marais neighborhood and pointed out various palaces and gardens. She found us easily at her recommended meeting spot. The rain didn't take away anything from the tour. She was able to manage everything in the rainy conditions.
Nikki brought us to the very best/most family's pastie shops in Paris. It gave us an exceptional overview of the various types and styles of pasties. We highly recommend this tour.
