Let me show you one of the most beautiful palaces in the world! Every time I visit, I'm always as amazed as the first time I visited Versailles. Louis XIV called the Sun King is the creative force of Versailles. He turned Versailles into a sumptuous estate and the symbol of absolute monarchy in the 17th century. You will visit the State Apartments with its 8 rooms, Royal chapel, the Hall of Mirrors, the King and Queens' apartments. Learn about life at court during the reign of the four Louis, the royal family, the queens, the scandals, the French Revolution, Napoleon, and King Louis Philippe who created the museum of French history. After or before (depending on the line schedule visit) we will also explore the beautiful gardens.
* Pick up from your hotel/ accommodation (Paris only) * Ride to Versailles (app. 30 to 40min) * Skip the line entrance to the palace * Admire among others: Grands apartments, King's Chamber, Hall of Mirrors, Queens apartments, Royal Chapel * Garden visit: Orangerie, Latone fountain, Apollo fountain, Grand Canal * Tour ends at your hotel. Flexibility: - On days when the fountains work we will add groves like Ballroom and Collonade to the visit - Possibilty to end the tour there, so you can enjoy more of the gardens on your own and have lunch in the gardens or in town. - Contact me for an extension of the tour for more fountains, Marie-Antoinette's hamlet and/or visit to the Versailles market downtown. - This tour can be customised .
