Bonjour, and welcome to France! My name is Olesya, and I am a professional, licensed guide. I first came to Paris twenty years ago to study at Sorbonne University, and from there, I gave a piece of my heart to this magical city. My love for Paris is ever-growing, and I would be more than happy to share it with you! After graduating from Sorbonne University, where I studied English philology and literature, I worked as a professional translator for numerous Parisian and international translation agencies. Striving to be more in touch with other people and deepen my knowledge in history of art, I pursued my studies at the National Guides' School in Paris and the Ecole du Louvre to become a professional guide. Now, fully licensed, I am delighted to introduce you to the magic of Paris and its rich, fascinating history and outstanding architecture. Paris is truly where history is so alive that you can literally touch it. With me as your guide, you will discover Paris and gain a bucket-load of knowledge. But don't worry! There are no classes, homework, or tons of research to do here. Simply allow me to lead you through the streets of Paris - in a relaxing, easygoing, and enjoyable way! The great part is that anyone can benefit from my tours, and they are 100% family-friendly. All tours can also be tailored according to your needs and desires. What's more is that being a fully licensed guide gives me a little (huge!) advantage to skip all the crowds and queues in most of the museums and monuments! My biggest enjoyment on tours is to "crack the codes" of museum masterpieces. I connect with people individually, giving them the keys to better appreciate artworks and monuments, translating them into a language you can understand. I love seeing faces brighten with new knowledge! I mostly enjoy surprising people - and I like to be surprised myself. Paris is the perfect location for this! Are you ready to journey on your thrilling French adventure? - French Government License that enables me to guide you through all museums and monuments with priority access - no queuing here! - Degree in History of Art obtained at the School of the Louvre (École du Louvre) - Master's degree in French and English linguistics, philology, and literature.

There are several Versailles in Versailles: Versailles of pageantry, intimate Versailles, Versailles of courtiers, Versailles of mistresses, Versailles of intrigues and scandals! There is the splendor of the palace and the apartments where all the arts are summoned in a extraordinary complexity to reflect the power of the king. The interlaced golds of the woods, the marble and bronze. There are the gardens to get lost in and the Trianons estate to rediscover human dimensions. I will take you on a dizzying day to see all these successive Versailles! On a leisurely stroll, we'll explore the Versailles estate in its integrity and immersed in the 17th -18th centuries and the incredible life of the French kings and Queens. If you want to learn how the idea of building Versailles was born, to discover the nuances of court etiquette and how the "sun king" kept his nobles under constant control, let's immerse into Versailles together and it won't have any secrets for you!
This is what to expect: - We'll skip-the-line and enter to explore the palace: You will see the royal apartments, magnificent royal chapel and, of course, the true masterpiece - the Mirror Gallery. - We'll have a lunch break - We'll stroll through the gardens, which, like the palace, are fully a museum and are under the protection of UNESCO. As you walk through the amazing French park, you will see magnificent fountains, hidden private gardens with antique monuments, as well as the Grand Canal, modeled after the Grand Canal in Venice. - We'll explore The Grand Trianon - Louis XIV's private residence, where courtiers could access by name invitation only, the Petit Trianon and the hamlet - a true haven of peace, where Queen Marie-Antoinette lived!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
You may take an Uber to get to Versailles. Alternatively, I can arrange a private chauffeur. The round-trip rate is €170, to be paid directly to the chauffeur. If you choose to take the train from Paris, we will meet directly in Versailles under the statue of Louis XIV on horseback, located right in front of the Château de Versailles.
Paris, Île-de-France, France
The meeting location will depend on your chosen mode of transport: If you take an Uber, I may either accompany you from your address or meet you in Versailles, depending on logistics. If you opt for a private chauffeur, we will pick you up directly at your address. If you decide to take the train from Paris, I can either accompany you or we can meet directly in Versailles
