Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte from Paris

For those that want to enjoy a less crowded but attractive landmark excursion I can propose you to go to Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte. This is a great itinerary leaving Paris heading south west, not so far, however, enough to feel the french countryside atmosphere. Both collections are impressive, Fontainebleau's is vast, spreaded through the long centuries of french history. It is, indeed, a great reference among historians to understand the key questions of the creation of this country, from Napoleon to Saint Louis (Louis IX). The location of this palace is also something; Placed in the middle of one of the biggest forests in France, it has plenty of hidden gems, like the village of Barbizon (where we can have lunch) On the other side Vaux le Vicomte, intimate and often silent (way less people than Versailles) privatly own by De Vogüé family. It is easy to feel transported to another time. My target is to create an immersive experience calling your natural curiosity. Summer week days are fantastic!

After a roughly an hour drive we will visit; - Fontainebleau Castle ; Guided tour, couple of hours more or less. - Vaux le Vicomte Castle and Gardens; Also a guided tour of the castle and gardens it will also take us a couple of hours. - The village of Barbizon; My choice for lunch, its a great village nearby Fontainebleau. We can also have a walk here I guess one hour in total, maybe 2.
