Hello everyone, I am Caroline and I am a French tour guide from Paris! I have a passion for history and the city of Paris, that is why I decided to be a tour guide in 2010 after having my license. The construction of Notre-Dame began in 1163 and it was finished 200 years later. I will explain the construction of Notre-Dame and I will speak about the fire in 2019. In 6 years, the restorers did an amazing job! Notre-Dame is more beautiful now since before the fire! I will give explanation about the restauration of the craftsmen! MANDATORY RESERVATION : since July tour guides need to book all their tours. THERE IS NO AVAIBILITY FOR JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER. IF YOU WOULD TO BOOK A TOUR FOR OCTOBER, NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER, THE RESERVATION WILL OPEN ON JULY 21. Please book the tour before this date. Thank you. IMPORTANT: Appropriate Dress : Please wear appropriate clothing : avoid transparent or tight-fitting clothing, cover shoulders, torso, stomach and thighs.
Our tour with Caroline was wonderful. She does a great job of providing context to the history of everything we were seeing. The before fire and after of Notre Dame and how it has changed for the better. We had plenty of time to just adsorb the feeling inside the cathedral. She also showed us some things outside and provided some local recommendations for eating. We used her services in 2022 and were so glad she was available for us to schedule this year!
