Heading north west we stop at Pululahua Crater for a quick view. Then continue down to the Mindo Valley, part of the "Andean Chocó reserve" by Unesco one of the best places in the World for bird watching. Also we get the options to admire incredible Orchids, the magic cloud forest, visit an awesome butterfly farm or do some adventure activities at the local cable car or zip lining as well. Back to Mindo town we get Quetzal to learn about the chocolate & coffee tour with a super unique lunch. Finally we get back to Quito.
Jose was the most professional and friendly quide for our full days experience you could possibly want or need. Nothing was too much trouble in accommodating our tour wishes with his vast experience and knowledge of the areas in Mindo .We had the most amazing day and experience. Jose quickly responded to all questions I asked before the tour. He met us on time for a customized tour which was EXCELLENT. He went to every place we requested while dealing with all the carnival traffic. He spoke good English and was hospitable and helpful in all aspects. I would HIGHLY recommend this guide.
José is an excellent driver. He picked us up at our hotel in Quito's historic district right on time. He's very nice, helpful, polite and he gave us a lot of information. He even made accommodation to allow us to make some extra stops.
We meet at your hotel around 8am (suggested time) Our first stop is on half way at a Mega Volcano, we continue to the Valley of Mindo. We can start at bird watching farm, Then to the Orchids farm, Going up to Tarabita, cable car, to walk to some waterfalls, Going down to Zip lining, optional, or going to the butterfly farm, later we go to a local organic Chocolate factory where we can get a delicious meet and chocolate and coffee tour, Finally wecan back to Quito stoping on the way at the Equator line Latitud zero. . .
