The upper Amazon is an ecosystem located at the east of Ecuador crossing the Andes mountains over 600 meters above sea level, in despite the biodiversity is less concentrated than the depp Amazon Jungle , it is possible to experience the forest and activities aswell learn about the traditions of the different indigenous comunitues who live inside the Jungle close to the river basins. Day 1 Departure from your hotel in Quito in direction to the east , the route displays beautiful sceneries with dense forest and vegetation our first stop will be in a small reserve of birds we can do an small hiking or its possible to visit a rose farm which Ecuador is famous producer. After that will stop in the town of Baeza for the lunch. Later keep going by the Amazon highway to our lodge, at night we have included a night walk in the forest after dinner. Day 2 After breakfast well drive toward a lagoon to make a boat ride where can see different birds and mammals like monkeys and different kind of birds aswell fisshes of the Amazon and probably the spectacled cayman. After that well visit an indigenous Community where have a chance to learn about their traditions and try their food. After lunch we back to Quito On the road to Quito its a chance to visit the papallacta hotsprings we can stop a couple of hours to enjoy and relax, after this back.
