I was born in Rio de Janeiro but moved to the Netherlands when I was three years old. After spending eight years there, I returned to Rio, where I have lived since 2000, in the heart of the city. Growing up abroad instilled in me a special connection with foreigners and tourists visiting Rio. I’ve always enjoyed showcasing the unique activities and lesser-known spots that highlight our vibrant culture. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business and have worked in various sectors, including finance, HR, and project management, until 2023. Despite my professional background, my passion has always been tourism. In 2018, I seized the opportunity to combine my love for food and tourism by creating a Bar Food Tour. This venture started as a hobby but grew into a full-time pursuit by 2023, allowing me to leave my traditional job behind. Since then, I’ve launched several projects, including a tour about Copacabana's history and private city tours with a focus on culinary experiences. My goal is to introduce visitors to the best local spots, offering a deeper understanding of our local customs and the places that make Rio de Janeiro special for its residents.

Begin your journey in Santa Teresa, one of Rio’s most charming hilltop neighborhoods. I’ll guide you through its winding streets, artistic corners, and historic soul while we make three delicious food stops, each chosen for its character and authentic local flavor. As we walk, I’ll share stories that connect Santa Teresa’s past and present, giving context to the dishes, the people, and the neighborhood. From there, we head downhill toward Downtown Rio, where centuries of history shaped the city. We’ll make one final tasting stop and explore meaningful landmarks along the way — from viewpoints and colonial buildings to plazas and churches that tell Rio’s story. Each moment adds depth to the experience. What makes this tour special is the mix of flavors, culture, and history. Through food, walking, and relaxed storytelling, you’ll feel the shift from Santa Teresa’s artistic charm to the vibrant energy of Downtown, discovering how these two worlds come together in Rio’s heart.
- 3 (three) Stops in Santa Teresa for food tasting; - 2 landmarks along the way - A Local Sightseeing spot and the Selaron Stairs - Cinelandia Plaza, Praça Mauá and Pedra do Sal. - Final stop to have one last dish at a very special place.

We will take a Taxi to Santa Teresa, after which we are going to walk a bit all the way to Downtown. From there we will fetch a Tram to the end of the tour. Tour will finish at Praça Mauá or at the Port. I will never leave you alone, and I am open to adapt this part considering the possibilities.
