Located 360 meters above the sea, Mirante Dona Marta is the perfect spot to see the sunrise. Enjoy the sunrise from an incredible viewpoint which gives you views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the famous Christ the Redeemer statue. Depart from your hotel at around 5:00 AM, so you can get there in time to see the first lights of dawn. The tour takes around 2. 5 hours so you should be back at your hotel at around 7:30 AM, in time to do other activities or tours.
Our tour was short, just to watch the sunrise and, accordingly. we didn't expect much more than a transportation to the lookout point and back to the hotel. However, it turned out to be a nice and memorable experience! Guilherme was a very pleasant company. He was helpful with finding best picture spots for us and told us lots of stories about life in Rio and facts about its history and culture. Thank you, Guilherme!
I made sunrise tour at Mirande Dona Marta with Guilherme, and it was an amazing moment. View on Rio bay is wonderful, from Loafsugar to Corcovado. Guilherme is a very efficient guide, speaking english and very pleasant. Just perfect.
It was an amazing sunrise experience in Rio de Janeiro with the perfect guide. We were able to see an amazing Toucan bird in the wild, Vista Chinesa, the Jesus statue light up by first light at dawn and the sun rising over the clouds. All in all it was one of the best sunrise experiences and am very grateful to find Guilherme to help make this experience happen :)
Highly recommend it! Guilherme was on time and even suggested to go a little earlier since sun was coming out sooner at this time of the year. He is such a nice person to chat with while you are taking pics and very much enjoyed this tour. Something you dont see often. Sunrise over the Guanabara Bay. We got there before all the tourists got there which was nice!
