Hello, this is Andre speaking, I am vegetarian, into travel, nature, animals, exercise and with a good sense of humor (mom’s heritage). I am quite fond of art, architecture, gastronomy, music, history and culture in general. I was born in 1970, I am a “carioca” (cute idiomatic expression for those born in Rio city), and passionate about it. My time growing here taught me about it's hidden treasures from the secluded beaches in west Rio to the most beautiful landscapes amidst the lush scenery between the native forest wetlands and mountains of Serra dos Órgãos on east Rio; the city expands with a vast array of magical places and dramatic views. I completed my associate degree in tourism in 1994. But a few years later in 1997 I went on a trip to NY and ended up joining an international organization only coming back to Brazil in 2001. Afterwards I went to Europe and came back to Rio a few months later but this time to stay. Back home I decided to go back to school and graduated in Communication / Marketing, working for about 15 years with “branding” for Rio’s Communication Agencies. As an executive producer I had the opportunity to work on brands in the best events in town, from Rock in Rio festival, to famous artists shows at the beach to the carnival at Sambodromo. In 2022 after the pandemic, I choose to reactivate tourism in my portfolio. I am a Tour guide accredited by the Official Brazilian Tourism Board (EMBRATUR) and Ministry of Tourism. My idea is to take you not only to these famous landmarks if you will, but also to the natural wonders that most tourists never see. These special experiences go beyond the usual sightseeing spots and head over to Rio's cultural heart, natural wonders, and local communities. I have a strong car, a Suzuki S-Cross and I can take up to 3 people with me or if you come with a larger group, we can rent a van or a small bus to accommodate everyone. So that's it for now! I hope these lines finds you well. And in the event of visiting the City, I Will be more than glad to welcome you to town. Cheers! Peace & Love!

Visit two of Rio de Janeiro's most famous landmarks, Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountains. Ascend to the top of the mountain to visit Christ the Redeemer statue. See the mountains, lakes, beaches, and ocean that surround the wonderful city with its natural beauty from its highest pick. Also, ascend to the top of the Sugar Loaf mountain to witness one of the city's most beautiful sunset spots that baths the city with a spectacle of golden and magical array of lights. In my opinion, it is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will also learn about the City's history and how it became one of the world's most cherished and visited places in Brazil.
Pick you up from your hotel /accommodation or the agreed-upon meeting point in Rio de Janeiro. Travel Time: 30-minute drive to Corcovado train station, going up the mountain 710 meters high. Then, another 30 minutes to the Sugar Loaf mountain by the famous cable cars, going up 391 meters high. (Time may vary depending on the traffic and lines with each specific transportation train and cable car). Enjoy the views and the great photo opportunities. Drop off at your hotel or accommodation.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
