Hi, my name is Ana Maria and I was born and raised in Rio. I love to share with others my love for the city. My hobby is to discover the best places in the city in order to offer them during the tours. I'm certified by Embratur as a tour guide in Brazil. I worked for IBM as a bilingual secretary while attending my university degree in Portuguese and English Literature. Now I'm a retired teacher and the owner of an Art Gallery in Rio. I worked for São Paulo and Pernambuco Government in tourism, where I undertook a post-graduate course in Tourism Planning and Management. Since then I've been offering private tours for foreign people in a very natural and delightful way. I usually drive my own car for a maximum of 3 people (comfortably) or 4 (if not a big size person) and let the beauty of the city leads us through your wishes. We start going to the Burle Max Park, distant 1 h from the South Zone. We have to buy rhe tkts on line, in advance, to book the exact hour to join the group (few people). After 3 hs visiti g the park, the house, the museu and hundreds os Brazilian species we comeback passando thru Barra da Tijuca neighborhood, with large highways and tall buildings. Then we find the islands in the middle os one of the lagoons and take a boat to see the mangrooves and the alligators. After we have a lunch in one of the best local seafood restaurants facing the mountains of the Tijuca Forest an the Gavea Stone. On the wayback we pass in São Conrado beach where the hanglidings land. On the same neighborhood you find the most famous favela on the hill called Rocinha. After there we pass along the most famous South Beaches as Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana and have the chance to take wonderful pictures!
