Overview of your Brussels tour
The Rhineland Offensive was a series of allied offensive operations by 21st Army Group commanded by Bernard Montgomery from 8 February 1945 to 25 March 1945, at the end of the Second World War. The operations were aimed at occupying the Rhineland and securing a passage over the Rhine river. The crossing near Wesel (Operation Plunder) was one of several coordinated Rhine crossings. A million Allied soldiers participated. In support of the crossing, 14. 000 paratroopers were dropped behind enemy lines (Operation Varsity). The operations were a success. Hitler's days were numbered.

Rhine River ! The exact location where Prime Minister Winston Churchill crosses the River Rhine to the east bank, "south of Wesel", in an American Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel (or Higgins boat) with Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery, Field Marshal Sir Alan Brooke and US General William Simpson on 25 March 1945. And back to Brussels, it would be a total of 520 Km (520 kilometers is equal to about 323 miles). This is a large tour of at least 10h to longer, participants must be flexible in time and long driving times. This battlefield tour is a once in a lifetime experience.
