Servus in Wien! Travelling and exploring cultures is one of my passions and I always search the contact with locals. For me this is the most authentic way to understand a culture, to be part of it, even if it is for a short time. Therefore as a local licensed Tourist Guide I feel I must share my enthusiasm and my knowledge for the art, the music, the architecture and the way of life in Vienna and Austria with visitors of this city and country. I love to make people happy. You will see the city and the country with different eyes and experience the ambience in a friendly way. What can I do for you: • Walking tours, city tours with your transportation or with a hired car, mini van or bus, special theme tours, museum visits, day tours in Vienna and its outskirts. • Proposals for your tourist program in Vienna/Austria. • Proposals for cultural activities, restaurants, bars, etc. It is my job to propose a program that fits you. With me you will use your time efficiently (e. g. you do not have to stand in line for tickets or search the sights) and get optimal information and directions. I am a Licensed Tourist Guide in Austria (AustriaGuide), member of the Chamber of Commerce Vienna. I do not have a commercial driver's license, but I can arrange a car with a driver.

"…this (…Vienna) is the best place in the world for my profession…", wrote Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to his father Leopold in April 1781. Why is Vienna a magnet for composers, musicians and singers? What makes the Vienna State Opera House one of the best music institutions worldwide? Learn where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart never woke up until 10am and never went to bed before midnight; Josef Haydn began his career in Vienna; the Vienna Boys Choir sings every Sunday since five centuries and Antonio Salieri, Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Schubert and others went in and out. Feel the atmosphere of a city, which had a great importance in the musical world. A sense of humour complements my narrative, helping to ensure a fun and enriching experience. Let me know, if you are interested in a certain composer or in a special musical subject. I will set up a customized tour for you and will organize guided visits to memorials of composers, to the Vienna State Opera or any other musical institution, if necessary.

Marietta is wonderful to work with. She speaks excellent English, is knowledgable and pleasant. We had a wonderful day with her.
Excellent tour. While the focus was on Vienna's musical past, Marieta was happy to allow us to take her off topic when something else about the city struck our interest, and she had a nice way of steering us back onto Mozart, Beethoven, et. al., which is, after all, what we'd asked for! She is engaging, knowledgeable and fun, and the three hours spent with her was a great way to start our stay in her magnificent city.
Our time with Marieta was fantastic and she taught us so much about Vienna's culture and history. Anything that we wanted to see she was able to fit into the tour. She was extremely attentive and kind I highly recommend her to anyone who really wants to know what Vienna is like.
Very informative and interesting. Marietta was great and flexible.
This was the second tour we took with Marieta and it was as excellent as the first. There was a lot of information about the music of Vienna, the famous composers, and we visited several interesting and historic musical sites. Marieta was very flexible so she accommodated our request to see a couple of sites we had missed during our stay. Very pleasant and enjoyable tours. Well worth taking for those who appreciate classical music.
We will walk and stop outside to see: •Theater an der Wien, one of the oldest music theaters in Vienna, connected with the opera "The Magic Flute" by Mozart; •Musikverein, where the New Year's concert of the Philharmonic Orchestra takes place; •Hofburgkapelle, where the Vienna Boys Choir sings every Sunday; •Courtyards in the Hofburg, where baroque performances took place; •Michaelerplatz and Kohlmarkt connected with the music of Beethoven and Haydn; •Mozart's apartment, where he spent the happiest years of his short life; •Jesuit church, one of the most beautiful churches in Vienna, locals love to hear concerts there; Guided visits to memorials of composers, to the Vienna State Opera or any other musical institution are optional and upon arrangement.
