Why not leave the city behind for one day and join me on this fascinating excursion! We will start out at your hotel, where I will come to pick you up with a professional driver and car. Our first stop will be the medival Liechtenstein Castle. You will get a private introduction in the medival lifestyle of Count Liechtenstein and his family. We move on to the true highlight of the tour, Heiligenkreuz Abbay. Also created in the Middle Ages, it is a working Cistercian cloister with a fantastic medival church. If you are truly interested in Habsburg history we will then move onto the Karmel Mayerling, where the big tragedy happened. Here crown prince Rudolph committed suicide, casting terrible shadows on the already weak Danube monarchy. We can now enjoy a truly scenic ride through the "Helenental"-Valley and will arrive in the charming town of Gumpoldskirchen, where you can sample a glass of Austrian white wine! For the foodies amongst you we can have lunch at Freigut Thallern - located in a scenic vinery!
