Guide #28984
Hello, this is Oğuz! I was born on the Black Sea coast of Turkey and spent my childhood there till university. I studied in Konya for 3 years Tourism and Guiding and after I graduated, I moved to Istanbul. I'm a family man living in Istanbul with my wife and our two sons together. We love Istanbul a lot! At the moment, I'm a professional tourist guide and working in tourism since 2008. I like the history of Istanbul because it's such an open type of history, you may learn lots of new details all the time related to it. It's also a multicultural city where you may find the different tastes and items belong to Anatolia. Of course, a local guide will be helpful for you to find for what you look for. I like to help our guests to show them some hidden gems where only local people know and prepare some small surprises for them. It should be the best way of traveling to keep something always on mind and remember when you turn back to your country. It's the unforgettable memories you will always remember with you and tell your friends the stories you heard and food you tasted! On my tours, I offer you a different type of pleasures you may experience but I am also open to make a flexible and customized tour just for you! It's always a privilege to have a tour with a local guide! Wish you all the best for your trip to Turkey. Our guide was amazing. His knowledge of the history of Turkey really helped us to understand the culture and the changes that happened throughout its history. Hebhas a degree in history and works full time in the tourism industry. He also was willing to answer our questions about the places we visited, the Islamic religion and his family. He knew exactly where to go to...
Oguz was excellent. He was able to include most of the sights we wanted to see in Istanbul. He was able to include drinks and foods that are customary in Istanbul. He provided information on the history of the city, mosques and culture. We were very pleased. We would use him again.
There was an international marathon the day we toured Istanbul. Many streets were closed, public transportation was disrupted and most taxis were not running. This meant we had to do a lot of walking. Our guide seemed unenthusiastic. We assumed it was due to the disruption to our tour. He did allow us to customize our tour and to take several rest stops. We saw some of...
