Istanbul Half Day Private Tour

Semih was the best guide we’ve had anywhere in the world! He was the consummate host, and did such a fantastic job of telling a story throughout the entire day and all the stops. We got a real window into the fascinating and multi-threaded history of this special place. He curtailed our experience to our interests and was even flexible when we preferred lunch over another site - taking us to an otherworldly restaurant not far from blue mosque. I have taken many tours around the world, and this was at the very top of the list. I will come back to Istanbul for several days and make sure I reserve Semih well in advance. He is very knowledgeable, articulate, friendly, and I left the tour surprised at how many things I learned about language, religion, and history beyond the routine description of monuments we visited. Semih is especially helpful in navigating the marketplace and working with merchants whom he knows.

What a lovely surprise this day was! Semih was a great guide! He met us exactly as planned... helped us navigate the items we wanted to see. Then changed his plans at the grand bazaar to include shopping items that we were interested in. He was a wealth of knowledge... very personable and showed us bit of Istanbul in a very short period of time. Absolutely recommend this tour!

Our tour guide in Istanbul was fantastic. They spoke great English and were easy to talk to, which made everything clear and simple to understand. The guide shared lots of interesting stories about the city’s history and culture, making the tour fun and really informative. They were friendly and made us feel comfortable the whole time. I highly recommend this guide for anyone who wants to learn about Istanbul in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

Our half-day visit was somewhat disrupted by demonstrators in the city centre. However, with Semih's expert knowledge and guidance we were still able to visit the Blue Mosque, Sultan's Palace and the Roman Hippodrome. Semih described everything in detail. He has a very personable style and is easy to get along with. We would certainly recommend him to anyone wishing to have a private tour of this fascinating city.

5 stars not enough. Semi was a magnificent guide and we had a wonderful day with him. He is so knowledgeable about Istanbul and the world and lots of fun to tour while with. We ended with a delicious lunch at a restaurant he chose. A perfect day in Istanbul with a great guide
