Full Day Old-City Private Walking Tour - Skip The Ticket Lines!

Atakan was an excellent tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, punctual and communication with him was fantastic. We did not have to find our way on our own to the Sultanahment (Old Town) area. He met us at the port and picked us up and returned us via the subway. We spent the day learning history and seeing the historic landmarks. We stopped for a delicious Turkish lunch and concluded the day with some shopping in the Grand Bazaar. Atakan was kind enough to help me locate some specific items I was looking for in the Bazaar. We could not have me more please with our tour and guide. We highly recommend Atakan and would definitely book another tour with him.

Excellent guide; he really knows the history of Istanbul and Old Town. We had an enjoyable day with Atakan; one of the highlights was an authentic lunch at a small Turkish cafe overlooking the Horn.

Atakan was fantastic. He was a treasure trove of information about the history of the places we visited, as well as the Muslim faith. I will book another tour with him the next time I'm in Turkey.

Our tour was absolutely wonderful. We visited Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, the Hippodrome, and the Grand Bazaar, and fit in a relaxed lunch. Atakan has an impressive mastery of the relevant history, and provided excellent context that helped us appreciate everything we saw more deeply and see details we might otherwise have missed. He was also very friendly and conversational and happy to answer our many questions. We were enjoying ourselves and appreciating the leisurely but focused approach so much that we ran out of time to see the Hagia Sofia that day. Atakan kindly offered to meet up with us after his scheduled tour on another day, so we were able to see the Hagia Sofia with his expert commentary a couple days later, and to use the orientation we gained from his tour in the meantime. We could not recommend this tour or Atakan himself more highly!

Atalanta was a really great tour guide-extremely knowledgeable, fun, and he realized we were very tired from our flights that were messed up so we arrived a day late. He tailored our experience to our interests and energy level and it was very much appreciated. We highly recommend him!!
