I was born in San Sebastian, Basque Country, I'm a person who loves travelling and sharing my experiences with people. I have visited over 70 countries and guided travellers, friends and family for long time. After travelling around the world in my last big trip, during 14 months, I'm even more prepared to guide you along the Basque Country and surroundings. Would you like to listen to some of the stories I have to share, while I show you the beautiful country where I live in is? I am a private local Basque guide and have a long experience guiding people along the Basque Country, over 15 years, in areas specially around San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona, Vitoria as well as the French-Basque Country and the famous Rioja Wine region. As well as I travel abroad often, I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristic ones, but to the off-the-track ones too. Always adding some of my little stories and anecdotes of each place making the journey more enjoyable and unique. Living in a place with a food-culture like us, it adds an extra value to my tours, being a member of a Gastronomy Club(famous sociedad gastronómica) in San Sebastian as I am. Our contracted guide, Iker was unavailable on the day of our tour due to illness. Iker's substitute was Yolanda. Yolanda was knowledgeable if a bit droll. The cost of the tour was the most expensive ($1400 US) of our 3 tour taken with Tours by Locals. Tickets were purchased for us by Iker with the cost 36 Euro ($40 US).

Although our tour was titled a “walking tour” Iker kindly drove us in his comfortable van to certain vantage points we otherwise would have seen or spent valuable time walking to; this allowed additional time to walk and sight see.
