Kaixo! Hello! I'm a lucky guy born and bred in San Sebastian. I feel massively passionate about my city and I'll never lose my enthusiasm for exploring the Basque country and having the chance to share my favourite parts with you. The Basque Country is so special with it's unique food & wine scene. It's a huge part of my life with an ongoing interest & study of wines and I've been a member of one of the famous cooking societies for the last 20 years . Living here it's impossible to escape the rich culinary culture. The Great Outdoors is my other passion and as famous as San Sebastian is for the food the countryside and mountains are not to be overlooked. With a hugely unique and wide variety of hikes and trails. From coastal tracks, incredible old woodland and striking peaks. I'm extremely well travelled and have a fantastic understanding of how it is to be a tourist here and what makes a tour that extra special. Originally from a corporate background I know the right kind of professional and execute a high standard of tour on all levels. Maintaining a fun, friendly and relaxed vibe with one goal, that you have a fantastic, memorable day out. Since 2016 I have loved being a tour guide and look forward to more adventures, Hope to see you in San Sebastian very soon. We'll hop across the border and uncover the secrets of this beautiful corner of the world. First stop St Jean de Luz, an elegant coastal town with stunning beaches overlooking a pretty horseshoe bay. We'll stroll the sun drenched back streets and glimpse inside the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste where King Louis XIV graced the aisle on his wedding day. Then a short ride to Biarritz the chicest of French towns with a mix up of fashion & surf. We'll potter the cobbled streets filled with individual French boutiques then stop for a bite to eat*. Then off to this spectacular rocky coastline to breathe in the fresh air and get a feel for local life.
I'll pick you up in San Sebastian and drive 15 minutes to get to France, right there but so much different than San Sebastian. Driving through La Corniche (coast road) and enjoying the stunning views we will get to Saint Jean de Luz, old place of corsaires, where we will visit the food market and walk along Rue Gambetta, full of great boutiques and cafes. From here we will drive 20 minutes to get into Biarritz, a glamourous little town where french and russian aristocracy used to expend their summer holiday. Oysters and white wine in the food market is a must! I'll show you the highlights of this lovely town before heading back to San Sebastian.
