My name is Alex and I am from San Sebastian in the Basque Country. I currently work here in my hometown as a tour guide and I provide private tours and outdoor activities for my clients. I feel very blessed to work in this industry. I love to meet people and share with them the wonders of the Basque Country while also learning new things about other cultures from my clients. My first experience working with tourists was as a surf instructor on the beaches of San Sebastian. I had to ask "can I really do what I love the most and make a living that way?" I am a nature lover, history buff, foodie and outdoor sports fanatic. With that first step 10 years ago, I finally found a way to combine all of these facets of my personality into the perfect profession and my tour company was born. Over the years, I have gained experience and knowledge with every client I serve. Each year is better than the last with more tours and options and my clients are happy with the experiences we provide. These last years I have grown both personally and professionally and I am proud of the reputation my company has made for itself. My personal goal is to exceed my client's expectations and I apply that to each and every trip which I still guide personally. You know what they say, "if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life". That pretty much sums up how I feel about San Sebastian Trips. I hope to see you in the beautiful Basque Country soon! ESIC Business & Marketing school WSET 3 Cooking member at the gastronomic club in San Sebastian. 10 years of experience as a tour guide. I drive a Mercedes V Tourer I can´t provide tours inside the museums.

One of the unique places in the area is the French Basque coast. It's a relaxing place located just 25km from San Sebastián, well deserving of a visit. It's not just the beauty of the environment that connects you with nature and relax your soul. The villages on the French Basque coast are gems of charm: they have the Labortan characteristic architecture, and a vibrant street life made of markets of fresh products, the nice coffee shops, typical French restaurants and fashionable luxury stores. I always like to stop at the fish market to see "the cacht of the day". Normally they have fish of impressive size and appearance for sale. I f you like oysters and seafood in general you can also have a tapa accompanied by a wine from the region in one of the stands. Do you know what a tapas is? I'll tell you also that! Remember that this is the French Basque Country so people will speak in basque and french, never in spanish so be ready to practice one of this languages! No worries, I'll be there for you:)
We will meet in San Sebastian at 09:00 am to begin the French Basque Country tour. Itinerary: 1. First stop is the port of Ciboure. This spot is located at the western end of the bay of Saint Jean de Luz. It's an ancient fort that defended the city from possible foreign attacks since the XVII century. We will enjoy the views of the town and its surroundings from the historic Fort of Sokoa. 2. Continue along the coast to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, considered a typical Basque seaside town with a lovely harbor, narrow streets, and a small beach. Here you walk around the streets, visit the markets, take pictures and drink a good coffee. If you want you can accompany the cofee with a crepe but it is not obligatory. 3. Next stop is Guéthary, have a drink on a terrace facing the ocean. On good days you can enjoy watching the surfers riding impressive waves. 4. The last stop is Biarritz, a former fishing village that transformed into a major luxury resort for the French aristocracy during the 19th century.
