My name is Gontxu, I was born in Donostia-San Sebastian in 1977. After my studies I left the city to travel a bit the world, then, I was living in several countries like Ireland, France, Iran, Mexico or Benin. I learned a bit about other cultures and towns around the world. After my experiences abroad, I decided to come back to San Sebastian and settled down in my native city for guiding and showing to visitors the magic of the region. I love nature and on my free time I love to go into the ocean for surfing or swimming and into the mountains for climbing or trekking. I am also passionate of history and culture and a good food lover, always ready for good tasting meal :-) I am looking forward to meeting you and transmit you the magic of our region, let's do it combining 3 Basque passions: gastronomy, culture and nature, I am sure we are going to have a great time together. - Wide experience guiding tourists in San Sebastian. - Middle Mountain Guide degree. - Experience living in other countries such a France, Ireland, Iran, Mexico or Benin. - 5 years Business administration degree. I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences

Did you know Basque country geography is covered by beautiful green mountains? If your partner and you are that kind of active and outdoor travellers that besides appreciating knowing about the culture also like to spend some energy in fun walks in nature, I bet you'll like this special and magic walk. It suits also perfectly families with kids already in their teens. This small hill has been many things along history, from a whale sighting viewpoint in the past to nowadays being part of the famous St. James Way that so many people walk every year on pilgrimage, either for religious purposes or spiritual reasons. This walk is a perfect way to connect the city of San Sebastian with the charming fishing village of Pasaia, in which Victor Hugo spent some time recovering from the lost of her daughter, saying "Pasaia is a lille flaring Eden. . . famous if it would be located in Italy'' Pasaia is one of the most beautiful towns in Basque country and if you like to live special experiences: join me!
Distance: 5 milles (8 km) Elevation: 600 feet (200 m) Time: 3 hours walk + 1 hour in Pasaia -Starting point of the walk is in San Sebastian at Navarra Avenue or at your hotel, from there we will start walking following the coastal walk up to "Pasajes de San Pedro". -At "Pasajes de San Pedro" we will recover ourselves from the walk having some local food and drinks with one of the best views of Basque region, the picturesce town of "Pasajes de San Juan". - From there we will head to the bus stop from where we will come back to San Sebastian city center (15 minutes).
