San Sebastian Day Trip: Scenic Private tour of the Basque-French Coastline

We were supposed to spend two days exploring San Sebastián and the French-Basque coast with Iker, but weather and port issues changed our plans. Thankfully, Iker adapted everything with total professionalism and warmth, ensuring we still experienced the best of the region in one incredible day. He guided us through the charming streets of Saint Jean de Luz, then curated a fantastic wine tasting in San Sebastián that truly captured the spirit of Basque culture. He was also incredibly thoughtful with my father, who has mobility challenges—always patient, kind,and attentive. Iker’s deep knowledge, flexibility, and genuine care made this day a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

The tour with Iker was absolutely superb! He was very knowledgeable, attentive to our questions and needs and very pleasant to be with. We were able to see sights that only he could have shown us and the day went by way to fast. He took us to a small little town for lunch which was wonderful. We still talk often about the things we saw and did on our tour and for that, we are very grateful. If we ever return to San Sebastian, which is our plan, we will definitely take another tour with Iker. If you are thinking about a tour in the San Sebastian area, just have Iker take you. You will not be disappointed.

What a great tour: a mid size resort city, a smaller beautiful town, and a medieval walled village, all on a pleasant drive along the French Basque coast. Iker is amazing! Sweet, well-informed, and willing to make adjustments on the fly. We have booked two more tours with him on this trip, and are really really looking forward to them. Wish we had time for more!

We had a wonderful day touring outside of San Sebastian with Iker. He was knowledgeable , fun and was able to read our group easily. He selected the perfect restaurant for us that suited our day. We very much enjoyed the market in St. Jean de Luz that he planned to take advantage of the Tuesday opportunity. We would definitely book with Iker again. Great relaxing day!
