If you are looking for Real, Local, Licensed and Professional Basque Guides in San Sebastian, let you know that you found it!! I was born in San Sebastian, Basque Country, I'm a person who loves travelling and sharing my experiences with people. I have visited over 70 countries and guided travellers, friends and family for long time. After travelling around the world in my last big trip, during 14 months, I'm even more prepared to guide you along the Basque Country and surroundings. Would you like to listen to some of the stories I have to share, while I show you the beautiful country where I live in is? I am a private local Basque guide and have a long experience guiding people along the Basque Country, over 15 years, in areas specially around San Sebastian, Bilbao, Pamplona, Vitoria as well as the French-Basque Country and the famous Rioja Wine region. As well as I travel abroad often, I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristic ones, but to the off-the-track ones too. Always adding some of my little stories and anecdotes of each place making the journey more enjoyable and unique. Living in a place with a food-culture like us, it adds an extra value to my tours, being a member of a Gastronomy Club(famous sociedad gastronómica) in San Sebastian as I am. This is only one of some of the tips I would offer you, considering that the only way to visit and access to them is being invited by a member! Great experience not to be missed!! Come and feel the experience of the Basque Country with a real local guide! Ongi etorri! ("Welcome" in Basque). Ongi etorri! Visit the entrance of the Town Hall of San Sebastian, a former Casino - one of the most important meeting places for the bourgeoisie during the Belle Epoque. Going inside, travel to the past of San Sebastian; the oldest area will show us what it was like to live in a fortified city near the border, lives depending on the sea, and waiting for the battles to come. Why with me? Exploring the historical areas, strolling beautifull narrow streets with a native-local guide will give you the real feeling of a Basque person. Walk through La Concha Bay's promenade stopping at the beautiful Miramar's Palace ending this walk at the famous sculpture 'The Comb of the Winds' from where the tour continues up to Igueldo's hill, taking the popular Funicular to enjoy the best view of the city and the bay. What my travellers enjoy most about this tour is that they get to see and learn lots in a short day tour, with no rush, no big groups, and personalized service I offer.
