My name is Alex and I am from San Sebastian in the Basque Country. I currently work here in my hometown as a tour guide and I provide private tours and outdoor activities for my clients. I feel very blessed to work in this industry. I love to meet people and share with them the wonders of the Basque Country while also learning new things about other cultures from my clients. My first experience working with tourists was as a surf instructor on the beaches of San Sebastian. I had to ask "can I really do what I love the most and make a living that way?" I am a nature lover, history buff, foodie and outdoor sports fanatic. With that first step 10 years ago, I finally found a way to combine all of these facets of my personality into the perfect profession and my tour company was born. Over the years, I have gained experience and knowledge with every client I serve. Each year is better than the last with more tours and options and my clients are happy with the experiences we provide. These last years I have grown both personally and professionally and I am proud of the reputation my company has made for itself. My personal goal is to exceed my client's expectations and I apply that to each and every trip which I still guide personally. You know what they say, "if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life". That pretty much sums up how I feel about San Sebastian Trips. I hope to see you in the beautiful Basque Country soon! ESIC Business & Marketing school WSET 3 Cooking member at the gastronomic club in San Sebastian. 10 years of experience as a tour guide. I drive a Mercedes V Tourer I can´t provide tours inside the museums.

This tour consists of visiting the Guggenheim Museum and then enjoying the Basque coast and its gastronomy. On one hand, visit the world class museum in Bilbao and on the other hand the small villages of the coasting and their multiple charm aspects. It is a good way to get to know Bilbao and at the same time take advantage of the trip to get to know other towns on the Basque coast. Small fishing villages where fresh fish cooked on a charcoal grill is like a religion. It is one of the musts of the Basque gastronomy that no one should miss. Moreover, in this region, the villages of Zumaia, Guetaria and Zarauz make very good wine. The famous txakoli wine. Perfect to accompany a menu based on fresh fish and seafood. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an excursion like this! The itinerary can be adapted to traveller's interests: do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour.
I will pick up at your hotel. Later, we will drive to Bilbao through the highway. It is an hour drive. Itinerary: 1. Bilbao and the Guggenheim museum. Once in Bilbao we will walk around the museum since the views of the building from outside are very worthwhile. We will be able to take some pictures outside before going inside. I will help you to get the tickets. After Bilbao we will visit Zumaia, Guetaria and Zarauz. 2. Zumaia The cliffs are part of the UNESCO world heritage site and has also been the scene of the famous game of thrones series in its 7th season. If you want we will have time for a short walk. 3. Getaria It is a fishermen village and home town of Juan Sebastian Elkano. First man who sail around the world. This litlle village it is worldwide known for its restaurants. The specialties are the charcoal grilled fish and the sea food. It is also a wine growing region so it is the perfect place for lunch. 4. Zarauz It is a small village with the longest beach in the Basqe Country.
