San Sebastian's unique food experience: Best "Pintxos" in town

Book Iker. Just Book Him. We did a pintxos tour through San Sebastián’s city center — but not the tourist version. Iker took us to the bars locals actually frequent, ordered things we never would have known to ask for, and paired everything with the right wine. Fresh, delicious, and completely authentic. Iker speaks English, Spanish, and Basque fluently, and his knowledge of the region is matched only by how pleasant he is to spend the day with. Don’t visit the Basque Country without him. Highly recommend.

We had a perfect tour with Ikers partner Daniel. We were picked up in Biarritz – on time. We spent the journey to San Sebastian exploring the regions history and political development and were updated upon arrival in San Sebastian. Daniel took us to three pintxos places after a nice stroll through the city and bay area. A vibrant city and we would not have managed to find these places on our own. Wonderful tastes of fish-meat- warm and cold pintxos – concluded with an excellent desert. We had the required visit to the food marked to bring home some local specialities. With a nice detour via Saint-Jean-de-Luz we were safely returned to our hotel. Iker is an excellent tour guide. We learned about Basque history and culture in a relaxed but informative tour of the old town of San Sebastian. The pintxos tastings at the end of the walk was one of the highlights of our stay in San Sebastian.
