As a keen runner and while training on Stewart Island (most southern island of NZ) up to Cape Reinga (most northern tip of NZ where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet) my passion and love for nature deepened and the idea of " Beautiful Nature Tours Auckland" formed.

Originally from Hannover in Germany, I am living since fourteen years with my Kiwi husband and our three energetic sons in Auckland after spending ten years in Sydney and six months in Paris.
For the last twenty five  years we have been hiking/running/cycling the "Land of the long white cloud" with its breath-taking nature and I would love to show you this magnificent part of the world.

I am passionate about inclusive tourism and open when appropriate to tailoring an adventure to each individual client and when needed have support & professional advice from the Makingtrax team.

Leaving the crowds behind us, we will leave Auckland on our 50 minute drive to the wild West Coast. Discover the untamed Bay of the Boisterous Seas with its volcanic black sand beaches, walk through mystique rainforest to waterfalls and experience New Zealand pure - definitely one of my favourite spots around Auckland. Famed for it's natural beauty, Karekare is a star of movies and television. It's a treasured part of Te Wao nui a Tiriwa, the Waitakere ranges. From here we make our way back into the City of Sails to explore Auckland. This tour will absolutely rejuvenate you while experiencing how the locals live.

I absolutely love this tour! You will experience Auckland's fascinating volcanic landscape, get a taste of Maori history and discover the wonderful West Coast, the home of Maui Dolphins, Seals (Kekenos) and native bird life.

Leaving the crowds behind us, we will travel through the Kumeu wine region to the wild West Coast. Enjoy the wonderful nature on a walk through mystic rainforest before reaching the 60 km long black sand beach.

Stop for amazing views over the Tasman Sea and if you are lucky you will see playful Maui Dolphins, sunbathing seals and about 3000 Gannets looking after their chicks (August-April).

Next, we stop at a seaside village, where you will enjoy a fantastic view of Auckland's largest volcano, Rangitoto and Brown's Island.

Drive through Auckland‘s beautiful Domain and past the War Memorial Museum, take in Auckland most prominent landmark, the Skytower before we cross the Harbour Bridge to visit the quaint village of Devonport. Be spoilt by incredible views over the Hauraki Gulf, it‘s stunning islands and the city, enjoy some free time exploring this beautiful colonial seaside village.
