Welcome to Riga! I grew up in Australia in a Latvian family, and when I came to Riga 25 years ago I fell in love with the place and never left! It's a place of stunning beauty (whatever the season - there are parks galore), fascinating history (did you know the guy who invented blue jeans came from Riga?), intriguing food (try the garlic rye bread or the hemp butter), sensational beer (I'll point you towards the best brewpubs) - and it is a joy for me to share it with visitors from around the world. In my 25 years here, I've worked as a journalist, a translator and for the last six years a tour guide. So telling stories is my thing, and there are lots of amazing ones in Latvia! Let me introduce you to the romantic, medieval cobblestone streets of the Old Town, the magnificent Art Nouveau buildings on the boulevards, delightful old wooden houses, freaky Soviet structures and much, much more! Please check out my tours, and if you like I can customize one to suit you perfectly. And please let me know if I can help in any other way. Looking forward to seeing you, Philip. Philip was an unbelievably good guide. He has spent a lot of his time in Australia (although a Latvian and Riga native for decades) and his English and ability to impart information is first class. Done in such and interesting way. 100% recommended

Philip is an experienced guide and great storyteller. He knows and tells a lot of personal stories that bring the city to life. If you are looking for a tour highlighting Riga’s long history to date look no further.

Phillip was great. In as much as he grew up in Australia to a Latvian family and moved back to his motherland 30 years ago... he knows the culture, history and everything local, as well as perfect English. Great tour. He's knowledgeable and very affable. Book Phillip now.

A lovely day out. A great overview of Riga and the surrounding area. A lovely place where we stopped for lunch close to the seaside. The market was also very interesting. Very friendly helpful guide. Highly recommended
