Konnichiwa (Hello), I am YUMI!! Thank you for visiting my page. I am a local guide in Kagoshima. I was born and raised in green nature of southern part of Kagoshima. I have been lived, traveled, and worked in several countries. I also graduated from the graduate university in South Korea. After I came back to my hometown, I decided to be an ambassador or a “bridge” between people by introducing my hometown Kagoshima. Kagoshima is full of history, unique culture, cuisines, and nature. And there are more to see, feel, taste, smell, and experience!! I will be happy to organize the personal tour just for you. I can offer tours beside my sample tours on my page. Yumi was the BEST tour guide!! She planned the most wonderful day for my husband and I. She has so much historical knowledge about every place we visited, and was so kind and friendly! I highly recommend booking this tour with Yumi!! The best tour I have ever been on!

Susan B.May 2026Yumi is a wonderful guide who speaks perfect English. She told us about the history of Kagoshima and its culture through intriguing stories and historical events. She arranged a driver for us, who picked us up at the cruise port. We enjoyed the gardens, Samuria history, museums and the beautiful volcano. Our tour was fantastic. We even had time for shopping!

We had a wonderful tour with Yumi. She speaks great English and knew how to keep us away from the large crowds and let us experience some local spots. I would definitely recommend her.
