Hello! My name is Kuni. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter as well as a Kagoshima Prefectural World Cultural Heritage Licensed Guide Interpreter. I was born and raised in Kagoshima, located in the southern part of Kyushu, Japan. Surrounded by rich nature, active volcanoes, beautiful ocean views, and warm-hearted people, Kagoshima is a place full of stories and traditions that I am proud to share with visitors from all over the world. I decided to become a guide because I truly enjoy meeting people and helping them experience the beauty, culture, and history of my hometown. What makes me happiest is seeing my guests smile and hearing them say that they have discovered something new and memorable during our tour. I believe that guiding is not only about explaining facts or history but also about creating meaningful connections between people and places. During my tours, I always try to make the experience both fun and informative. Whether we are exploring the impressive scenery of Sakurajima, walking through historical sites related to Japan’s modernization, or tasting local specialties such as Kurobuta pork or shochu, I will do my best to make sure you enjoy every moment. I’m also happy to adjust the tour pace and content according to your interests, so please feel free to let me know what you’d like to see or learn about. I’m looking forward to meeting you in Kagoshima and sharing its stories, flavors, and warm hospitality with you. Let’s enjoy a wonderful time together and make great memories!

Experience the charm of Kagoshima on this private shore excursion to Sengan-en Garden and Sakurajima. Built in 1658 by the Shimazu clan, Sengan-en is a stunning Japanese garden designed to frame the view of Sakurajima across Kinko Bay. Its elegant ponds, bamboo groves, and stately residences tell the story of the Shimazu family’s legacy. The Shoko Shuseikan Museum inside the garden introduces Kagoshima’s role in Japan’s early modernization and was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 2015. I am a National Government Licensed English-speaking guide, and I will meet you at Kagoshima Port to begin our journey. As a local born and raised here, I look forward to sharing stories of Kagoshima’s history, culture, and vibrant life beside the volcano. Traveling by private car, I’ll help you experience the warmth, beauty, and spirit of my hometown.
