Kagoshima-Ibusuki Natural Sand Steam Bath tour

Best guide evah! Friendly, warm, engaged, listens . Knowledgeable. Felt authentic because she was sharing her environment with us. Went beyond guiding duties to share a favorite restaurant. Very responsive to our requests with fantastic additions we could never have known or found. Highly Recommended.

A wonderful tour and one of the best guides! Mikiko is the perfect guide. So helpful, organized and personable. Her early communication and suggestions for the day made for an experience you can only have on Kagoshima island. An active volcano-sister city to Naples, Italy creates unique opportunities - like “hot sand baths” and fantastic scenery. Mikiko speaks excellent English, has a great sense of humor and many stories and hidden treasures to share with her clients. Would highly recommend Mikiko and would utilize her services on a return trip!

Despite the rainy weather, we enjoyed a wonderful day with Mikiko visiting the Ibusuki sand bath, an excellent ramen restaurant, and a kamakaze museum.

Mikiko was so responsive and accommodating from the first contact and throughout our tour. Although we were a large group of 11, she handled us effortlessly. Her organization skills, presentation, language skills and warm personality makes her one of the best. We felt like we were spending the day with an old friend. she left us with pleasant memories.

Upon meeting Mikiko for the first time both may wife and I felt like we were meeting a long lost friend. She was easy to talk to and we both shared many interesting stories. We booked 3 tours with her and each one was fabulous. The sand bath at Ibusuki was unforgettable experience (first time in an onsen want to go back), Chiran with the Peace Museum was a moving experience. Mt. Sakurajima managed to spew ash for us and is just a short ferry ride from the mainland. Mikiko was an excellent host and guide.
