Hello! I'm Mikiko! You can call me Miki! I was born and bred in Kagoshima. Now l'm living with my husband, two sons, and one dog. I have worked as an interpreter and a port agent for cruise ships for about 7 years. In addition, I have worked as a lecturer at an English academy for about five years. As a licensed international guide, I've guided FIT and big group for tours about 8 years now. Senganen Japanese garden and an active volcano Mt. Sakurajima
Overview of your Kagoshima tour
First, we go to Senganen Japanese garden. There are a museum, a residence of local leaders built in the 19th century and its garden created in the 17th century. We can enjoy the view of the garden and history of Kagoshima there. At a restaurant in the garden, we can enjoy local cuisine for lunch. Most of its ingredients are locally produced. After visiting Senganen, we go to Mt. Sakurajima, an active volcano. We can feel the massive energy of the earth and observe how the local people live with the volcano.
