Chiran highlights Full Day tour from Kagoshima

My family of 4 booked Mikiko and she coordinated a van with driver. One of our more expensive excursion days but we were able to fit a lot in and could not have done so using public transportation - Peace Museum (about Kamikazis during Battle of Okinawa), Chiran Samurai village, and Senganen Garden. There was quite a bit of driving time. Mkiko was excellent. One of the better guides we've had - she actually did a celebrity tour in Nagasaki the day before but lives in Kagoshima. She knew many of the guides we saw today - with and without Celebrity groups - one of the guides told us she is the best in Kagoshima. She's been guiding for 10 years. Mikiko was great at communicating ahead of time, is easy to understand and have dialogue with. We really enjoyed getting to learn more about Japan from her.

Mikiko is a great tour guide. Considerate and accommodating to our group. Was able change plans during the tour and took us to a great local restaurant. Highly recommended!!!

We had a fun day with Makiko in Chiran. The Peace Museum is moving, rhe samurai residences we very interesting and the tea farm was very interesting and fun. Makiko us knowledgeable and pleasant.

Mikiko was Great. If you are ever near Kagoshima, Kyushu, find the time to visit the Chiran Kamikaze Peace Museum. Over 1500 young Japanese pilots sacrificed their lives from this airport in Kiyushu. Check out how these young men lived till their final day before their last mission. We also visited an area where Samurai once lived during the Satsuma era. Beautiful Gardens. A do not miss place. Ever wondered what a Tea plant looks like? Mikiko also included a tea tasting in the middle of a Tea field.

Mikiko did a fantastic job! She knew her subject matter well, and was very responsive to our interests. I would highly recommend her for any future guide services in the Kagoshima area.
