I was born and raised in Verona, an adorable, romantic, cozy Italian city and I have seen it changing over time under my eyes!
Roman Archaeology is my background and I am listed in the prestigious Rick Steves Italy guidebook.

I'm excited about helping you understand a little more of my beloved city: its art, history, landscape and the mood of the Italian "provincia".

For me being a tour guide is a way of travelling every day without moving from home!

I am a local guide of Verona: I do not deliver tours in Milan (only pick up). I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

"O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?"
On this tour we enter the famous courtyard of Juliet's house and see her legendary balcony to discover that love, passion, sacrifice, courage, tenderness, dedication are timeless emotions. We see also Romeo's house and Prince Escalus's burial place.
We enjoy colours and sounds of the piazza Erbe, where Medieval towers, ancient palazzi and statues overlook an everyday market. Beside it, piazza dei Signori is instead quiet, elegant and has a charme of its own.
We won't miss Castelvecchio: a very special castle where Medieval history, contemporary architecture and the riverside scenery wonderfully mix together.
And, last but not least, the incredible Arena: the best preserved amphitheatre of the Roman Empire, place of cruel gladiator fights in the past and, nowadays, the largest Opera stage. . . in the world!

you are picked up at your hotel and we visit the stunning basilica di San Zeno, located in a neighborhood out of downtown Verona: pure Romanesque style is what you can see. Grand and intimate at the same time. World class Italian art is housed in the church, that was a former Benedictine Abbey.
In the second leg of the tour, you are taken to San Bernardino church and convent: the Franciscan friars still run the convent. We see the cloisters and the Sala. Morone, called "the Sistine Chapel of Verona"

3 hrs SAN ZENO AND SALA MORONE Tour with experienced Certified guide

On this tour we delve into the history of a site that is defined by its geography.
We walk along the river and see Castelvecchio (if you have an interest in art or architecture we might peek inside), I would love to show you the 'Sistine chapel of Verona' called Sala Morone, we will certainly enter the arena and see the main squares. Then using a taxi, I take you to a view point and have a scenic coffee break.
We will also explore the Veronetta quarter, with the Giardino Giusti and the diversity of what constitutes 'the second beating heart' of Verona. In the afternoon I would take you to San Zeno, unmissable quarter and church with world-class art pieces.

Slowly the ancient city will come to life before your eyes.
