I had the chance to born in this wonderful city of Verona and I'm still living here with my children. I grew up in a typical italian family: lots of food, lots of tradition, and lots of fun! I graduated in Classical studies and I am PhD in Cultural Heritage. I did some archeological campaigns, and now I teach Roman Art and Architecture in University. I love travelling, I love eating and I love meeting people from all over the world. I am very friendly and passionate, I'm Italian!! I know every secret of the city where I was born and where I live and I'm looking forward to show you this wonderful town! Excellent, well informed and charming guide.
Our guide was great. We learned a lot about the history of Verona and saw sights with a different view than if we had done it solo.
Sylvia gave us an excellent introduction to our 3 day stay in Verona. Sylvia took us to the high points of the city and oriented us to other more distant attractions. She customized the trip with our interests in Jewish history in Verona and she had an extensive knowledge.. At her suggestion we took the funicular on our first day and enjoyed a perfect view of Verona. Her restaurant suggestions for sandwiches and fine dining were excellent. It was easy to communicate with Sylvia before during and after our trip. She tailored the whole itinerary to our specific interests including pointing out the Palazzo Maffei a unique art experience. We highly recommend this tour by Local Guide Sylvia.
I have been on many tours by locals and I must admit this was one of the best. Silvia's knowledge extended across history, culture, politics, architecture and local customs. She was able to answer all our questions, of which there were many, and provided some very interesting insights in a wonderful city which, without her, would have been much less fascinating. At the same time, her interferesting comments made the time fly by and we could have spent another few hours exploring the city in greater detail. Finally, she was willing to adapt her tour on the fly to accommodate our questions and interests. She is a highly accomplished woman who provides a very top service. Highly recommended for anyone interested in a real tour.
Silvia is an excellent guide - we thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the beautiful city of Verona! Silvia was very knowledgeable and thoughtful in the way she presented her city. We definitely recommend Silvia! SOPHIE & JOHN DILLON AUSTRALIA
We start from Piazza Brà, the biggest square of Verona and where the Arena stands. We are going to reach Porta Borsari, an ancient Roman gate that once guarded the entrance to the city. We are going to wander through the lesser- known Corte Sgarzerie, where echoes of medieval markets still linger, and reach the Scala family Tombs, stunning Gothic monument, a symbol for the Veronese cityzens. We are going to see the Jewish Synaogue, the cloistered Churches and the world-famous Juliet's house.
